Shaping the Void: Public Square as Room

The primary objective of the assignment is to shape urban public spaces or voids within a given “figure ground” urban condition. Public squares and parks are carved out from the figure ground. Perspectives show the character of the public realm, while the diagrams represent the ideas used by each student. Students only had the figure ground to begin the designs. All drawings and diagrams were created manually.
