Cultural Resource Management Position

Willing and able to represent ACE and the partner organization in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner
Proven ability to be both self-directed/work alone, and be a positive, contributing member of a group
Must be able and willing to serve outdoors in varying weather conditions and participate in often strenuous physical labor
Must be at least 21 years of age (Fellows must be 21+ to apply for an ACE position that requires or anticipates operation of agency or ACE vehicles for duties)
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
A valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record (documentation to be provided upon request)
Willing to undergo and must pass required criminal history checks
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Successful completion of at least 4 years above high school leading to a Bachelor’s degree with courses related to the occupation
At least one full year of specialized experience with activities such as: archeological survey, excavation, laboratory analysis, and preparation of written materials (this must be reflected in your resume, including hours worked per week)

Qualifications

Ability to conduct cultural resource surveys and analysis on the Colorado Plateau
Knowledge of accepted documentation and condition assessment procedures for prehistoric masonry architecture
University-level coursework and professional experience with GNSS and GIS applications for archaeology
Experience with archaeological remote sensing data collection, processing, and dissemination as well as photogrammetry applications
Ability to use computer programs to conduct research, input data, curate photos, produce geo-referenced maps, and write reports
Knowledge of / ability to use Federal preservation laws, policy, and practices to prepare compliance (and other) documents
