Park Central High School

Park Central High School is a new construction public charter school facility situated in the northwest Baltimore neighborhood of Park Heights. Located along Park Heights Avenue, a busy north/south corridor, immediately south of CC Jackson Recreation Center and the anticipated Enoch Pratt Free Public Library, PCH will enter strategic partnerships with these two public institutions, augmenting the required school facilities. With the goal of addressing educational and economic disparities in Park Heights, residents will enjoy thoughtfully designed public open space including an outdoor courtyard for students and residents, incorporating solar pergolas, and parkland along Park Heights Avenue. The selected charter operator, Baltimore Curriculum Project, has a track record of successful school operation with a focus on STEAM and CTE programming. The school will be built using state of the art CLT (mass timber) construction. PCH will target LEED Platinum certification for sustainability and promote a zero-carbon footprint over its lifecycle. Robust ground and roof mounted solar arrays will provide clean and renewable energy for the facility, significantly reducing operating costs.
