Biography

Lily Murnen is a faculty research assistant at the National Center for Smart Growth Research and Education and a recent graduate from the Master of Community Planning program at the University of Maryland. Her current work, which centers around the Purple Line corridor, explores the effects of land use policies, transit-oriented development, and multimodal transportation improvements, on accessibility, racial equity, and community resilience. She has a background in environmental science and worked previously in community advocacy for environmental and transportation issues.
