Career Services for Architecture Students

The University of Maryland and the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation offer comprehensive career and placement services for its students.

University of Maryland’s Career Center has information on writing resumes, cover letters, and preparing for interviews. The Career Center also offers job fairs throughout the year. 

The School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation Career Services offers extensive services to students. Contact Kristen Stack, Career Services Advisor to set up an appointment.


The School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, in conjunction with the University Career Center, holds an annual Career Fair. This past year, 85 plus firms representing careers in the built environment participated. 

The Architecture, Planning, Preservation, and Real Estate Development Career & Internship Fair will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024  from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at the Riggs Alumni Center in College Park, Maryland.

Black Emerging Architects Mission (B.E.A.M.) is a student run organization focused on creating a platform that allows authentic connections between minority students in architecture programs throughout the DC Metro area.

Creative's XP (Experience) is a professional development platform that introduces collegiate architecture students and emerging professionals to traditional and nontraditional design careers.
