Andrea Morris serves as the Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations in the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at the University of Maryland after twelve years in a comparable role across campus. Her duties involve raising money for student scholarships, increasing resources and the visibility of MAPP programs, working with volunteers, facilitating alumni engagement and assisting the faculty with external relations/events linked to our academic areas. After completing her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, Ms. Morris settled in the Washington, DC area to pursue a career in the nonprofit housing and human services sector. Subsequently, Ms. Morris completed a Masters in Social Work with a dual specialization in Human Services Administration and Clinical Mental Health from the School of Social Work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has been affiliated with the University of Maryland system as a student, alumna, parent, adjunct faculty and staff member for close to 25 years.
