January 22, 2015 to May 18, 2015
Spring 2015

Housed in the University of Maryland’s Study Centre at Kiplin Hall, the ancestral home of the founders of Maryland, this semester-long program allows the student to research, experience and analyze the culture of the United Kingdom through the study of its cities, villages, landscapes, and architecture.

The 13-credit curriculum includes Design Studio IV, Building Technology IV and a history theory seminar dealing with the architecture, urbanism and landscape of the United Kingdom. Projects related to ongoing studies on the Kiplin Estate provide hands on experience for the architecture students. Travel to historic as well as modern sites allow the student to understand the evolution of British architectural and urban thought.

Application deadline is October 1, 2014.
