Lyttonsville and the Proposed Purple Line Station

This report explores planning issues related to future construction of a light rail line station in the community of Lyttonsville in Silver Spring, MD.  The students present ideas for making the station an economic, environmental and social asset for Lyttonsville.  This report discusses and illustrates their recommendations for environmental improvements and creation of better connectivity in Lyttonville’s residential areas; for enhancing the community’s main thoroughfare (Brookeville Rd.) and other local streets; and for promotion of greater compatibility of industrial and residential areas.
