Teaching with Historic Places Lesson Plan for Greenbelt, Maryland

Historic Greenbelt is an ideal historic site to use as the basis for a Teaching with Historic Places (TwHP) lesson plan as it has a unique story to tell. In exploring Historic Greenbelt as a social and physical experiment through its town plan and built environment, students will not only learn how Greenbelt is connected to broad themes, issues, and events associated with American History, but also gain an understanding of and appreciation for historic resources.
