2002 - Public Open Space in the City of College Park, Maryland: An Analysis of Three Potential Locations

This Report outlines the benefits of public space, identifies the need for public space in College Park, and presents a strategy for the creation of public space. The Team believes that the presence of public space in College Park will contribute to the creation of a true “college town” atmosphere. The creation of such an atmosphere, mutually beneficial to the University and the City, is an attainable goal and one that should be actively pursued. The University and City Administrators will be instrumental in bringing about meaningful change to the current configuration of open space.
