The following University of Maryland resources (websites) are useful in assisting you navigate the process of completing your degree. 

Undergraduate Catalog - This online catalog is the official document of record for undergraduate academic programs, course descriptions, regulations and policies.

Degree Navigator - is a tool designed to help students and advisors evaluate academic progress towards completion of requirements for graduation. The software is intended as an unofficial guide only; it does not imply degree clearance, nor does it take the place of an official academic audit -- Official audits are conducted by your academic advisor.

Individual College Advising - Thinking of changing majors or minoring in a subject but don’t know what classes to take?  This website links you to the academic advisors for every academic unit on campus.

Individualized Studies Program (IVSP) - The Individual Studies Program (IVSP) students design unique academic programs combining courses from a number of departments, and in doing so, create new major concentrations.  Under the guidance of a faculty mentor, the program allows students broader academic freedom to pursue their degree in ways that best suit their own intellectual interests.

Learning Assistance Center - The Learning Assistance Service (LAS) is the academic support unit of the UMCP Counseling Center.  LAS exists to help students achieve their academic goals by providing a range of services.  All LAS services are free to UMCP students.  You may meet individually with one of our counselors who will help you explore your academic strengths and needs and help you develop a plan to meet your goals.

Limited Enrollment Programs - Limited Enrollment Programs are competitive majors at UMCP that control enrollment numbers to maintain program quality.  Once a student has earned 45 credits, he/she must have successfully completed a specific set of courses called “gateway” requirements.  Currently, there are nine Limited Enrollment Programs at UMCP; look here to learn the specifics of each of the programs.

Four Year Plans for Academic Majors  - Provides four year plans and benchmarks for academic programs on campus to to guide all students to completion of an undergraduate degree within a reasonable period of time.   Also a great resource to learn more about Limited Enrollement Programs, and majors at the University of Maryland.

Majors at Maryland - The University of Maryland has over 100 majors to choose from.   This website alphabetically lists all majors on campus and links you to their Department webpage.

Transfer Credit Center - The Transfer Credit Center exists to facilitate the evaluation of credit for transfer students and to give information and assistance to transfer advisors and prospective students.
