Great Space

Artist Statement--I seek to create the image that captures both the sense that life is happening just beyond the edges of the frame, as well as tells a story within the frame. Linear Gallery

This exhibit crafts an interdependence between computing and drawing in an effort to question the role of the singular "author" within contemporary design culture. With apparatuses and algorithms designed specifically for the Linear Gallery site, visitors participate in multiple "slowly computed" and "slowly made" drawings that occur over the course of the exhibit.

The Cardboard Chair Project introduces General Education students to the design of objects for human use, exploring the fit of object to human body and its ability to support human activity. The project introduces tangible realities of material, structure, and dimensions. It introduces basic architectural design technologies of drawing and physical model building.
