Ruth Davis-Rogers attended the University of Houston College of Architecture and has over twenty years work experience in the fields of architecture, design, construction and development. Early in her career she worked for design firms in Atlanta, Ga., Houston, TX. and Melbourne, FL. While in Florida she expanded into the development and construction industry. Later she moved to Maryland where she worked for The Department of Land Use and Growth Management in St. Mary's County.
Before joining the staff, at University of Maryland School of Architecture, Ruth worked for The Main Street Program in Maryland and Washington DC. The Main Street Program is a nationwide economic development program that enables historically significant communities to revitalize downtown and neighborhood business districts. In her free time Ruth likes to be with her three children and close friends. Ruth enjoys outdoor activities and likes to garden, walk and ride horses. Her most favorite thing to do is explore; this usually consists of going on day trips to visit historic sites and towns in MD, DC and VA.
