Li Fang specializes in urban economics and economic development. She comes from Yantai, China. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in land management at Zhejiang University, China. She now works as a research assistant on cluster analysis for Economic Development Center. She is particularly interested in questions such as why clusters in Detroit decline while clusters in Silicon Valley are so successful, why some regions or countries grow so fast while others grow so slow, and how spatial patterns affect the performances of firms, cities and regions.
