Professor Kelly regularly teaches in the design studio program and offers courses in architectural theory, site analysis and design, and the history of Renaissance architecture. Additionally, Professor Kelly participates in the School of Architecture's Rome Study Program.
His writings have appeared in Modulus 23, (Journal of the School of Architecture, University of Virginia), Reflections 8, (Journal of the School of Architecture of the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana), Planning, (Journal of the American Planning Association), Urban Design Visions and Reflections: Collected Essays, (American Institute of Architects), Contemporary Masterworks, (St. James Press).
Professor Kelly's principal professional interests lie in the area of campus planning and collegiate architecture. He has consulted on campus plans for the University of Notre Dame, University of Georgia, Emory University, Arizona State University, the University of Virginia, as well as the University of Maryland.
