Lara Otis is an Architecture, Planning and Preservation Librarian in the Architecture Library. She received her MLS in 2008. Before coming to Maryland, Otis worked at the Alexandria Library, Special Collections and in several archives. Prior to becoming a librarian, Lara worked as an architectural historian and consultant doing historic resource survey work in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. Her interests include local history, racetrack architecture, research methods, information literacy, and the challenges of long-term storage and access for digital information.
