Sean Weston
IT User Support Specialist

Sean Weston joined the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation’s Information Technology Group as IT User Support Specialist in August 2007.  Sean provides day-to-day technology support for the faculty, staff and students.  His responsibilities also include installation and configuration of hardware and software, systems administration, delivery of training workshops and programs, and participation in systems integration and special initiatives.  

Prior to joining the University of Maryland, Sean worked at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in a user support capacity.  At NIH, he provided a broad range of technology user support, training services, server support and systems administration for a very large and diverse user community.  In addition, he has experience as independent information technology consultant.  Sean has a Bachelor of Arts degree in European History with a minor in East Asian History from the University of Maryland, College Park.  While in college, he worked full-time as Desktop Support Specialist for a small business organization.  Sean is pursuing a dual MBA/MS degree program in information technology at the University of Maryland, University College.
