B.S., University of Maryland.

Davor Kapelina has 25 years of experience in various sectors of the commercial real estate and buildings industry. He has managed all aspects of large-scale real estate projects and related building operations. He has also been at the forefront of sustainability and energy efficiency since the late 1990s. Through advocacy, education and sheer passion, he has directed the implementation of high-performance sustainable platforms for organizations ranging from local non-profits to large, multi-national corporations.

Mr. Kapelina founded AtSite in 1993 and oversees the company’s various practice groups – all focused on improving value through a strategic approach to sustainability. Under his leadership, AtSite has grown from a boutique, owner-representative practice to a 25-person company managing client engagements throughout the United States. AtSite has led the design, construction and/or sustainable analysis of more than 10 million square feet of space in more than 75 buildings.

Mr. Kapelina is active in the local community, having served as a Building Commission member of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, on the Ad Hoc Fund Raising Committee for Goodwill Industries International, on the Corporate Gifts Committee of the League for People with Disabilities, and on the Northern Virginia Council for the Children's National Medical Center. He also serves as an independent director of the Cowperwood Real Estate Portfolio. He has lectured on real estate and sustainability in a number of forums including NAOIP, ULI, ASAE and his alma mater, the University of Maryland, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He enjoys skiing, golfing and spending time with his wife and two sons.
