Baltimore Developer John Colvin Donates $3M to Colvin Institute of Real Estate Development Endowment

John Colvin, Principal of Questar, Inc., a Baltimore real estate development company, and his wife Karen have provided a $3 million gift that will endow the Colvin Institute of Real Estate Development in the School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation at the University of Maryland.

The Institute will provide the Master of Real Estate Development program with greatly enhanced research, publications, symposia, and study abroad opportunities. The School's Real Estate Development program has quickly expanded since launching in 2006. More than 75 students are currently enrolled in the program, up from a class of 12 in the fall of 2006.
