PhD Student Finds Many Treasures in Squished Pennies

Christine Henry, a PhD candidate and assistant to the Director of the Historic Preservation program, has had a passion for the squished penny for over a decade. Her adventures in seeking out squished pennies around the country with her husband Pete—which even inspired a small museum in the couple’s LeDroit Park home—was recently featured on Washington’s NPR station, WAMU-FM.
