Mark Elliot Receives David M. Schwarz Internship and Traveling Fellowship Award
Mark Elliot, a graduate student in the architecture program, has been selected for the 2011-2012 David M. Schwarz Internship and Traveling Fellowship award. The award includes a 10-week paid internship with David M. Schwarz Architects (DMSAS) in Washington, DC and a $10,000 stipend to conduct research abroad during the summer of 2012. Mark will share his research findings with the School in the Fall of 2012, as well as present to DMSAS.
For his research fellowship, Mark plans to study the public spaces of post-war Northern Europe—specifically Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic—and what principles can be applied by modern day architects and planners.
