The Society of Real Estate Development (SoRED), established by 3 MRED students in the Fall of 2008 is a student led group that provides social and real estate oriented activities for MRED students. SoRED has an official mission to, "encourage multidisciplinary interaction between students, facilitate relationships between students and industry professionals, and to support the holistic approach to Real Estate Development promoted by the Quadruple Bottom Line concept."










The School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at the University of Maryland is home to four academic disciplines: architecture, urban planning, historic preservation and real estate development. Committed to educating its students and community about the importance of sustainability and smart growth, the School practices an interdisciplinary approach to education, research, creative work, and community and professional service.
