Visions of Place: Regionalism and Architecture

Visions of Place: Regionalism and Architecture, authored and edited by Professor Emeritus William Bechhoefer, is a collection of critical essays and reflections on regionalism in architecture.

Richly illustrated with color drawings and photographs, the text includes seven essays by Bechhoefer and nine essays contributed by his colleagues, students and friends.

The book is the first volume of the University of Maryland Dean’s Legacy Series, created by former Dean Garth Rockcastle to document and celebrate the contributions of retiring faculty to scholarship and learning.
