HISP alum Sonja Ingram recently published an article on the William Thomas American Legion Post in Alexandria, VA.
It was one of the few American Legion Posts in Virginia to admit African American soldiers during the segregation era, and now the building is threatened by demolition.
Ingram's article was published on the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Preservation Nation blog.
