ARGUS Summer Skills Course

Mike Daugard will be teaching our summer ARGUS Class which will be held on six Saturdays  from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm beginning July 18 through August 22. This is a non-credit course which is offered by the Colvin Institute as a service to our students as well as other industry professionals. To date all Institute classes are held on campus on evenings or weekends.  If you would like to join the class, just email  Susanna Florance at srf@umd.edu for more information.

Mike Daugard is Director of Acquistions with Washington Real Estate Investment Trust and, no surprise, very proficient in the use of ARGUS  within  the industry. Mike has been invaluable not only in teaching in our finance courses, but also in developing the contacts with ARGUS and making sure our students who want this skill can add this to their  resume.

The Colvin Institute of Real Estate Development offers a series of non-credit courses available to MRED program students as well as industry professionals. These classes are generally available in the summer or between terms in January, on campus, on evenings or weekends. To date the Institute has offered a LEED Test Prep course (3 times) and now ARGUS this summer.  ARGUS is the industry standard software for acquisitions, dispositions and property repositioning and many students find that prospective employers are looking for them to have this skill.

Future Institute classes under development include a Professionals Writing and Presentation Class; an Executive Skills Class and Costar Training.
