Architecture Students Offer Design Solutions for Proposed Hall of Fame

Architecture in Sailing
Monday, May 12, 2008, 2 p.m.

Architecture Building,
Room 1111

You are invited to Architecture in Sailing, a studio presentation of student designs for the proposed National Sailing Hall of Fame in Annapolis, Maryland. In this Architecture Design Studio, taught by Courtney Miller Bellairs, Adjunct Faculty for Architecture, the students were asked to design a Hall of Fame that includes a 30,000 GSF facility with an enclosed area, open rooftop viewing platform and modest outdoor spaces at grade for patron amenities.  The students were also given the opportunity to make small, local improvements to the site to better the relationship of their building proposal.

The student designs will be presented on Monday, May 12, from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. in the Architecture Building, room 1111.

Please contact Courtney Miller Bellairs at cmillerb@umd.edu with any questions.
