Synopsis

Catalog Description

This 6-week summer field school will instruct students in historic preservation method and theory using George Washington's Mount Vernon as the laboratory.  Students will learn archaeological and architectural field methodology, laboratory procedures, techiniques in public interpretation, and current themes in historical archaeology and historical preservation through hands-on, practical experience.
