Kevin Adams, PhD Student
Kevin Adams entered the Ph.D. program at Maryland in 2010. He was born in Oklahoma attending Booker T Washington High school in Tulsa and a Southwestern University a small liberal arts college in Austin, Texas where he majored in International and Asian studies.
He also has a Masters of Science in real estate development from Columbia University in New York; a Masters of Arts in landscape design and sustainable land use planning from the Conway School of Landscape Design in Massachusetts; as well as several years of professional urban planning and public involvement experience in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Nagano and Tokyo Japan.
His primary interests are sustainable urban design, ecological site planning, and the use of accessible technologies to facilitate informal public participation and socio-ecological awareness in urban landscapes. He currently works with Professor Chanse as both a teaching and research assistant.
