Robert Jay Orr, PhD Candidate

Robert J Orr has worked as an architectural historian for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, and as a licensed architect in Baltimore and San Francisco. His professional work has involved primarily multi-family housing and institutional projects with an emphasis on sustainable design and construction. He completed an undergraduate degree in the history of art at Yale University and received his Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. His research interests include the evolving practice of sustainable real estate development in the United States and the economics of unconventional urban redevelopment projects.
