Jung Ho Shin, PhD Student / Research Assistant
Jung Ho Shin's research interests focus on 1) zoning and other land use regulations, 2) determinants of housing supply, and 3) benefits/costs of different development patterns. He is currently employed at the National Center for Smart Growth Research & Education, working on a number of projects including Zoning & Housing Affordability, Maryland Reality Check Plus, and Baltimore-Washington Growth Scenario.
Prior to joining the PhD Program, Jung Ho has been working at Seoul Development Institute, contributing to creation of Seoul Digital Media City Plan and Seoul Comprehensive Plan 2020. He holds a master's degree in urban planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Seoul National University.
