Architecture Alumni Profiles

Mark McInturff's (B. Arch '72) work has been published in major journals both nationally and abroad. In addition to his practice, Mark continues to devote a portion of his time to teaching at the School of Architecture.

Stephen Muse (B. Arch '73) is principal in his own firm Muse Architects, an award winning Washington, DC office.

Tom Eichbaum (B. Arch '74) is a partner in one of the Washington area's largest and most respected architectural firms, Florance Eichbaum Esocoff and King.

Walter Chatham's (B. Arch '78) residential architecture at Seaside, Florida, has gained him international acclaim.

Craig Spangler, (B. Arch '82), Martha Anez-Spangler (B.S. '83), Mark C. Schenkler (B. A. '76), along with Donald A. Semler were the first place winners of the international design competition for the Matteson, Illinois Public Library (illustrated below).

Lourdes Reynafarje (B.S. '83, M. Arch '87), is a partner in the award winning firm, McWhorter Architects, located in Seagrove Beach, Florida.

Peter A. Pelsinski (B.S. '89), attended Princeton University, where he received his Master's degree. Peter was a recipient of the New York Architecture League's Young Architect's Award in 1993.

Michael Levy, (B.S. '91), recently graduated from Yale University's School of Architecture and is currently employed by Kohn Pederson Fox, in New York.

Kevin Heinly, (M. Arch '94), came to Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lehigh University.  At Maryland, Kevin was recipient of the Dean's Thesis prize. He currently a project architect at RTKL Associates in Los Angeles, CA.

Kevin Bergeron, (B.S. '92, M. Arch '95), recipient of the Dean's Thesis Prize, is currently practicing with the award-winning Washington, DC firm of Hartman-Cox.
