Steve Ziger is a founding partner of Ziger/Snead Architects of Baltimore and has extensive experience with cultural, educational, and religious institutions. As Design Principal, he is responsible for maintaining the highest standard of design excellence.

Since its establishment in 1984, Ziger/Snead has been honored with over 70 local, state, national, and international design awards for such projects as the Frederick Douglass–Isaac Myers Maritime Park and Museum; the Maryland Historical Society; the Herring Run Watershed Center, recently certified as Baltimore’s first LEED-NC Gold building; Mellon Hall at St. John’s College in Annapolis; Mechanical Hall and the President’s House at the University of Delaware; and the Brown Center at the Maryland Institute College of Art, designed in collaboration with Charles Brickbauer, which Architectural Record hailed as "...simply the finest Modern building erected in Baltimore or Washington since I.M. Pei’s East Building of the National Gallery of Art made headlines in 1978."

Mr. Ziger serves on the boards of the Baltimore Museum of Art, Parks and People Foundation, the Baltimore Public Arts Commission, and the Maryland State Design Review Panel. He has served as President of the Baltimore Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, the Contemporary Museum, and LINC. Ziger has twice been presented with an Award of Special Recognition for Distinguished Service in recognition of his contributions to the profession of architecture. Since 1995, Ziger has been a Trustee of the Parks & People Foundation and helped conceive One Park, a strategic vision which strengthens the connections between Baltimore’s public open space, uniting the city in a green network.
