Thesis

The thesis sequence at Maryland is an integral part of the curriculum; it allows, in fact demands, a self-directed study. The student individually defines an architectural problem and generates architectural solutions. Many theses are motivated by social and cultural problems, and others are more narrowly focused on the craft or practice of architecture.
